Pauline Hanson Is Not Fit To Lead
Over the last few months there is an increasing minority that has been voicing for Pauline Hanson to be prime minister of Australia. Outside the legality of it that that will never happen, she is not even adequate enough for the job.
A leader’s job is the lead, plain and simple. In regard to a country, it is to understand every aspect of the country’s people and to respect every single one of them. You cannot be an effective leader if you are hating any percentage of those people. A leader respects and boosters the least of their people to be the best of themselves.
This article will explain why Pauline Hanson is not fit to lead.
I will premise that this article is due to a petition I saw recently, requesting that Pauline Hanson to be made prime minister. The person who created it refused to include their own name, relying on the anonymity of the internet to hide their name. They are well articulate; however I will use their very point to provide the reasons why she will never be a successful Prime Minister ever if she were to get out of the senate and into the position to be a leader to the Liberal Party.
“As Australians, we cherish the freedom, values, and unity that have defined our nation for generations. However, recent changes in the political landscape have created a noticeable divide among citizens across the country. This fracture threatens to steer Australia away from the harmonious place we all remember and love.”
As they have stated, we do cherish our freedom, values, and unity, however that is based primarily on the freedom, values, and unity of the white aspect of Australia, which is why they added “for generations.” The recent change are only in the name of progression. To be more inclusive, fair, and be there for the little dog in the fight. Of course, those who feel as though they are being trodden on are the ones who object to anything remotely anti-white. This is where the divide is. The more they object to the progressiveness, the louder they become. How dare we move forward? We can be harmonious again, but that will not happen while we have petitions like this. Pauline Hanson, walking into parliament wearing a burka, is causing the division, not merely letting people worship freely.
“Our country is experiencing shifts that many believe undermine the traditional Australian way of life. Issues like immigration policies, cultural diversity, and economic management have become contentious topics. Many feel that these changes have led to dissatisfaction, misunderstanding, and a division that erodes the fabric of our society. It is time to address these concerns and ensure that Australia remains a country that reflects the values and identity that we hold dear.”
How can we address the concerns when the “traditional Australian way of life” is white? Those shifts are progressing. The Australian way of life is different for each part of the country, not one specific thing. My Australian way of life was growing up with Aboriginal, Greek, Asians, Europeans, and Middle Eastern. All with their own beliefs, that included Christians, Muslims, Pagans, and those who just do not have any spiritual beliefs. The misunderstanding are simply down to uneducated and fear driven voices purposely causing division. That is what is eroded out fabric of society, not progression. Pauline Hanson has been shouting that the “swamped by Asians” since her maiden speech on the 10th of September 1996. Included in that speech she added that “ordinary Australians felt ignored” which for someone like her who has not had to learn to share, this would come as a shock. How dare someone who does not look like her wants to live safe, free and earn a living for themselves? She has always looked at life through the “me, me, me” lens and never the “us, we, them” lens. In Laman's terms, she cannot see unity if she is only looking out for herself and what she could get in life.
“To steer us back on course, it is essential to have strong, decisive leadership that represents the voice and will of the Australian people. Pauline Hanson has consistently been a prominent advocate for certain Australian values, advocating for policies and viewpoints addressing common concerns, including economic reforms, sovereignty, and community unity.”
How can we be steered “back on course” when there was never an actual course laid out? Though if you are of the part of the white, few who think that they are the superior group will think that the course is only white. What Pauline Hanson has been consistent with is her want to keep the rich, richer and the poor, poorer. If you look at how she has voted, she has been consistently FOR drug testing welfare recipients, decreasing funding for the ABC and SBS, putting welfare recipients onto cashless debit cards, reducing taxes for high-incomes earners, and decreasing availability of welfare payments. She has voted FOR increasing the cost of humanities degrees (some of which are tied to mental health degrees). She has voted AGAINST a royal commission into Violence and Abuse against People with Disability, criminalizing revenge porn (this favors abusers), increasing funding for university education, increasing political transparency (though this is not surprising since she was imprisoned for election fraud in 2003), increasing workplace protections, more scrutiny of intelligence services and police, transgender rights, wiping all student debt, increasing funding for public schools, increasing housing affordability, increasing restrictions on gambling, a Royal Commission into Robodebt, changing the date of Australia Day, decreasing the gender pay gap, increasing access to subsidized childcare, increasing federal government support for childcare, increasing the diversity of media ownership, paid parental leave equality for stay-at-home mums and dads, pill testing, transgender children and young people having access to gender affirming healthcare, and on and on. Those certain “Australian values” that she has constancy voted for is white Australia. So how can she effectively lead when this country, this land, was black to start off with, when she does not even see Aboriginal as worthy to lead?
“Appointing Pauline Hanson as Australia’s Prime Minister could provide the leadership needed to unify the country and restore confidence in our future. Hanson’s straightforward approach to politics and her advocacy for the traditional Australian ethos make her a promising candidate to bring about the change needed to heal divisions and foster a renewed sense of national pride and unity.”
As I have previously stated, Pauline Hanson could never provide any measure of unity when her very political existence has been to cause division from the very first day. She has realized on racism and stunts to stay in the minds of the public. Otherwise, she will fade into public obscurity. Her version of “unify the country” is the same as Donald Trump’s version; the white way or go away.
“We call on our government to recognize the growing concerns and make a bold decision for the future of Australia. By appointing Pauline Hanson as Prime Minister, we can work towards a unified Australia that resonates with the spirit of all Australians.”
Pauline Hanson will never resonate with the spirit of ALL Australians when she only caters to the white and rich. I am glad that we live in a democratic country that has the laws that include voting in our Prime Minister and not just appoint someone as Prime Minister on a whim because of a petition created by a no-named individual.
“Join us in supporting a vision for a united Australia by signing this petition. Let’s ensure our voices are heard and help guide our nation back to its true self.”
The petition is calling on racists to push in a racist. The petition is calling on nationalists to veto the country’s legal system in leu of the leader that they want in. This gets what they want, a way to “legally” give rise to a whiter Australia.
If that were to ever happen, we could see a surge in violence, in the form of attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community, the neurodivergent, BIPOC, anyone who does not believe in the Christian God and women who do not follow the barefoot and pregnant model.
I urge you all to read between the lines when it comes to One Nation’s policies, and compare what Pauline Hanson says and how she votes on the theyvoteforyou.org.au website. We cannot turn a blind eye on the very threat that her and her ilk bring.
There is no problem in being proud of our country, but when it takes on the guise of hating our fellow Australians, whether that is by boat, plane, or birth, we are all part of this land that we call home. There was a time when we would back the little people, the underdog, the downtrodden, but now, we are expected to watch those very same people be treated like dirt because they don’t fit the “white Australia” beliefs. How can we truly call ourselves Australians when we hate on each other?
There is a fine line, right now, that is connecting the “patriot” nationalist to outright Nazism. Pauline Hanson is fueling the flames of this. Our soldiers have fought against fascism and here we are allowing it to take over. They fought for freedoms and mateship, this is the ideals that we need to get back to, not outright racist behaviors. We have all immigrated here. Be it directly, or our lineage. Our country has been made more beautiful by embracing the foods, respect and understanding of other cultures, and they have come here to embrace out freedom and mateship.
The only way we could really be close to being as one nation is to embrace our diversity and we can start that by changing two things that continue to cause divide, the Australian Flag and Australia Day, as both continue to show the colonism of Australia. Until we remove the Union Jack and the British invasion reminders, there will always be opposition to people like Pauline Hanson.
