DARVO Heard or Depp

Since the public trial of Depp v Heard has ended the court of public opinion has kept it alive. Notably from Heard’s team as Depp has moved onto performing is music, selling his art, signing a new contract with Dior and now filming his newest film.

Now Heard’s famous “I want Johnny to leave me alone so I can move on” has shown that she never actually wanted to “move on” as she and her team – lawyer and PR team - have not. The constant need to be in the spotlight is showing what many have believed that the diagnosis of Dr Curry on Heard is in fact correct.

The social media sites have been pushing the continuity of Depp being apparently abusive to Heard despite the outcome of the trial, showing that is a malicious lie. But that outcome does not matter to the fans of Heard who have set out to dox and try to get anyone who speaks positive about Depp off the social media sites such as YouTube and Twitter. These fans have been from verified Twitter accounts to nobody’s. All showing disgusting and hateful comments towards others such as That Umbrella Guy or TUG for short, The Real Laura B, Popcorned Planet, and a few others. They have gone as far as calling child protection services on one of the above. Is the onslaught of cult behaviour because they know the truth but it is group dissidence that causes their behaviour or do they truly believe that Heard is innocent despite all the evidence to the contrary?

Has this group been attracted to Heard because they see themselves in her or is it the societal expectation of the belief that “all women are innocent in DV cases” due to the Duluth Model? Or is it sadly a combination of both? The belief has pushed many who see themselves in Heard to actually not be as innocent as they seem to think that they are.

This brings us to the concept of DARVO. DARVO is an acronym for “deny, attack, and reverse victim and offender”. It refers to a reaction that alleged perpetrators of wrongdoing, particularly sexual offenders, may display in response to being held accountable for their behavior. The Heard believers have the hashtag DARVO Depp to push the belief that he was in fact the abuser. Yet no actual information on how he was denying the abuse, attacking heard, and reversing the offender and victim places. Heard on the other hand, was on the stand claiming that SHE was the one hiding in bathrooms from Depp and his abusiveness towards her. She claimed that even though the audio, and witnesses said the opposite. She denied that she was abusive. She attacked Depp and she had reversed the roles from the get go.

The unsealed copies from the court also show that he photo of the TRO bruise was in fact a zit. The bruise that she had to show that she was abused by Depp. From a man who has heavy rings on. From that lie until now, she has been unable to let go of her abusiveness towards him and is now happily using her flying monkeys who are not only keeping an eye on his every move but is attacking any pro Depp account. They then twist everything on the pro Depp accounts saying that it’s the Pro Depp accounts who are being abusive towards pro Heard’s social media accounts. The question is, are they taking a page out of Heard’s book by in fact DARVO on the pro Depp camp?
